Object duplication (cloning, copying) is another available means of creating a full copy of an object. Copied objects also occupy Storage space. To select this function it is necessary to use the corresponding option in the context menu. Upon selection, a full copy of an object is created with “copy_1_” added to the file name. This way, the file is successfully checked for duplicates and immediately becomes available without the need for renaming. By default, the copy is created in the same directory as the copied file.
‘Selection’ is a set of features for selecting one or more files. The context menu, drag-n-drop, and hotkeys can be applied to the selected objects.
There are several ways to select objects:
With a mouse click (one file is selected, you must hold down the CTRL key to further select additional files).
With Lasso (when you click and hold and drag the rectangle – all objects within the rectangle will be selected when the click is released).
With hotkeys (can be used with at least one selected object. Key combinations are described in the Hotkeys section).
The ‘Sort’ function is used to change the order of listed files by criteria (Name, Date, Type, Size). There is also a reverse option for each type of criteria.
To select this function, click on the criterion near the ‘Sort by’ title.
If you want to reverse the listing, click on the arrow icon (up is reverse sorting, down is standard sorting).
Upon selection, object order immediately changes in accordance with the chosen criteria. For files and folders, sorting is done individually. However, it is not possible to sort files by one criterion and folders by another.
‘Dialog windows’ allow the user to confirm irreversible actions.
The function is brought up automatically when particular actions are carried out on objects.
Here, you either confirm or cancel the action. The text corresponds to the type of action you initiate.
The context menu is selected by right-clicking on a file or folder, or by clicking on “…” when selecting a file or folder to display all possible actions for the file or folder. This simplifies access to features and to the ‘Open with’ option that is available only for files recognized by the Storage that can be further used in EOS Processing and Land Viewer applications.
Save as AOI
The ‘Save as AOI’ option is available in the context menu and allows you to save the area of interest. You can save AOI from any georeferenced file.
The ‘My AOI’ section allows storage of the user’s areas of interest. If to choose one AOI, it is possible to view it on the background, do the search by this AOI and save it in Storage as a file, rename the selected AOI, download it to local disk as a file in .kml or .geojson format, and remove it. When adding a multi-area and then hovering over the specific area, it will be highlighted; and there is an option to turn off the view of this area.
The ‘Band Mapping’ function is a bitmap of raster image channels. It is selected with a click on the corresponding option in the context menu. Upon selecting this function, a dialog window with band mapping will appear.
The ‘Open with’ option is available only for files recognized by Storage. To use these files in EOS Processing and Land Viewer applications, click on the corresponding option in the context menu.

The ‘Compress’ feature is available when choosing several files or folder(s). It is selected by clicking on the corresponding option in the context menu.
An archive decompression feature is also available. This is selected with a click on the corresponding option in the context menu. Files are unpacked into a folder of the same name as the archive.
This feature is active in every directory and does not require file selection. When using it, you can change the file system view from Tiled to Listed and from Listed to Tiled.
‘Bread crumbs’ shows the path from the initial directory. When clicking on one of the items in the path, you will be redirected to the selected directory.
Name validation of an item (file or folder) for duplication. This is carried out at all stages of updating your file system (create an item, save to storage from third-party sources, rename, restore from trash).
Notifications menu (the bell).
This is a visualization of errors and events of interest to the user. It is selected by clicking on the “bell” icon. Upon clicking, notifications from all products will be displayed. It is possible to switch notifications on/off by product. It is also possible to click on the ‘…’ icon to mark all notifications as read or delete them.
The ‘Product menu’ is called by clicking on the “9 points” icon that provides quick access to the EOS Platform products.
